The middle child

Such a little girl taking up so much space in your big girl bed.  LOVE IT!

Dear Penelope,

You are my beautiful, funny, kind, talkative, and helpful 18 month old.  A picture has been floating around the internet of 2 brothers holding their brand new baby sibling.  The older child had a smile on his face and the younger child had a long face while holding the new baby.  The caption on the picture was, "the moment he realized he was the middle child."  It's a funny picture but it makes me a little sad.  I don't ever want you to feel like you're not good enough or special enough simply because of your birth order.  You are a unique individual and everything you do and will do deserves the same attention and excitement as anything your sister and brother do.  You are my Penelope, my daughter, my baby.  We planned for you, wanted you, and love having you as our child.
