It's Just Hair Right?

Evidence
Cuprit

Dearest Penelope,

Penny, Penny, Penny.  What am I to do with you?  Yesterday while cutting PAPER you got a gleam in your eye.  Your target?  Colin.  Your weapon of choice? Scissors.   Poor Colin and his now botched hair.  If you grow up to be a cosmetologist I will remind you of your first unsuspected client - your baby brother.  You may want to hide this little piece of history from your future clients.  No one really appreciates someone hacking away their hair randomly with scissors.  Colin didn't seem to mind though!  He will gladly return to your services.  :)

After you cut a BIG chunk of hair you realized your mistake.  I didn't have to do anything but gasp.  You instantly felt remorse and started crying.  I admit I was torn on what to do first.  Take a picture or put your in timeout.  I opted for timeout but my heart really wasn't into it.  I took pictures of your brother while you sadly sobbed in your room.  Afterwords we talked about it and I'm confident that you learned your lesson.  I didn't even have to do anything.

Don't worry.  It's only hair and it will grow back.  Just remember, cut PAPER!  Only paper!

With all my love,

Mommy

Look at all that hair!!!

Dear Colin,

Poor Colin.  Yesterday, you decided to live on the wild side and picked a 3 year old barber for your next cut.  Well, your 3 year old barber sort of picked you and caught you off guard.  No biggie.  She decided to test out a spot on the top of your head near the back before continuing her cut.  Luckily, she decided your head was just too much of a challenge for her novice skills and stopped there.   If you really look at your hair you can tell someone attacked it with scissors.  But you have to really look.  This is good news because I can wait a few weeks before taking you to a professional to clean it up.  I really want to avoid a shaved head and I think we will.  Until then, please steer clear of anyone holding scissors.

With all my love,

Mommy
You don't seem to care that you were just attacked.  Maybe you were feeling a little hot and your sister just found a way to cool you down?

Kindergarten already?

Dear Michela,

Last week we went to the district office and registered you for kindergarten.  I can't believe you're going to be a kindergartener!  My baby a kindergartener?

Registration began at 7:30 so we arrived at 7:20.  There were about 8 people in front of us so we signed in and sat down.  You 3 were the only kids there.  While I was jealous of those who didn't need to bring their kids, I was very proud of you.  The 3 of you sat patiently and remained quiet for the whole 45 minutes it took for us to be called back.  Other parents were impressed and I had a few parents tell me that their kids would not have been as well behaved.  High Five!

What happened to this little girl?

This.  This is what happened to her.  She turned into a 4.5 year old who is now registered for kindergarten.  Graduating class of 2028.

Keep growing strong.

With all my love,

Mommy

Goodnight Beep

Dear Colin,

You are growing so much and coming up with the cutest things.  A recent development is your Goodnight beep.  As part of our nightly routine, we all go into the girls' room, tell a story, and say goodnight.  You added to our routine by poking everyone's nose and saying "beep".   Michela and Penelope say it's just your way of saying goodnight.  Works for me!

With all my love,

Mommy,
