Dear Michela,
Last week was a great one. Tuesday your uncle Kyle and great grandma Doti came by and had lunch with us. It was great to see them and they sure loved seeing you! They were visiting your great uncle Mark and stopped by to see you on their way back home.
This last week you also tried out 2 new toys. The first toy was given to you by our friend Shirin. You like the music and lights! You decided to skip over rolling, sitting alone, and crawling and head right into standing! Well, not really. I stood you up and quickly took a picture before you toppled over. Don't worry, I caught you before you fell down.
The next toy was given to you by someone Daddy used to work with. I put a thick book under your feet because you're a little short for it. You seemed to enjoy your jumper! I think once you start grabbing things you'll love this toy as well as the one Shirin gave you.

I was beginning to think that the one characteristic you inherited from me was hating baths. I used to hate taking baths when I was a little girl and you don't really enjoy them either. I guess it's karma because I used to scream when Nana gave me my baths. You don't scream but your certainly not sure of the water. We started using the euro bath (a big plastic baby tub) but I thought there was too much water for such a little girl. You weren't fond of the tub either. So I bought a sponge seat for the kitchen sink. We started using the sink for a while but you still didn't enjoy your baths. Finally, I found a solution to your fear of the water and started washing you in a small plastic tub / bucket. You haven't cried during a bath since the change. I don't know how long we can bathe you in this tub because you barely fit in it now! You will notice in the picture that behind your head is a cutting board with a kitchen towel over it to support your head if you need it. I'm so glad you don't mind taking baths anymore! I did not like upsetting you but I had to clean out your neck cheese so your neck wouldn't develop a rash. Look how happy you are now!

You are one adorable little girl. Your daddy and I love you very much!
Keep growing strong Michela!
I love you!
Love,
Mommy
