First Word?

"cheeeeeeeese"

Dear Colin,

For a little while Daddy and I have been trying to decide if you are saying "hi".  Sometimes you say it at the right time while others you just say it randomly.  While camping you waved and said "hi" to I believe Uncle Rob.  So I'll say that's your first word, maybe.

Also over the camping weekend you were hanging out with Jamie on the fallen redwood.  Daddy was taking pictures of the girls on the other side.  The girls were saying "cheese" for the camera.  When Daddy turned around to take pictures of the boys you looked right at the camera and said, "cheese".  You have done it a few times now.  So now my question is, is that your first word or is "hi" your first word?  hmmm.  I'll note July 26 as the possible date of your first word.  Both "hi" and "cheese" were said on the same day.

Dear Colin,

This afternoon you decided to start cruising in the library.  Since the chair seemed to work so well for you we decided to pull out your push toy at home.  This is the first time you decided to give it a try. You have been cruising furniture since Tahoe but haven't had the confidence for the toy until today.
